York University – Web 2.0 Workshops

Web 2.0 Workshop

The Web 2.0 Workshop is designed as a fun way to learn about the new and innovative technologies available to web users. The sessions will focus on a specific Web 2.0 applications (e.g. Library Thing, StumbleUpon, etc.). You will create your own accounts, provide content, and discuss your ideas and opinions during the sessions.

The workshop topics and activities will be outlined in this blog. The purpose of the blog is to allow you a place to review the material and respond to the information you may find here.

Each blog post will contain the following:

  1. Definition of the application(s)
  2. Links
  3. Readings – These aren’t required; however, if your interest is piqued and you want to learn more, the readings will be a good start.

The goals of the workshops are for you to become aware of Web 2.0 technologies, to participate in their “maintenance,” and to simply enjoy learning something new.

Learning is like rowing upstream: not to advance is to drop back
